Orphan Support Programs
The Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) appreciated those who looked after orphans. He mentioned that a person who gives care to an orphan will find a place in paradise (Al-Bukhari).
AGHOSH-E-MAADAR PROJECT (2014)
JJT sworn its footprints in Sheikhupura, Punjab, Pakistan in 2014 with its first project named Aghosh-e-Maadar.
It’s a boarding home for orphan children, currently residing 15 children from the vicinity. Children once selected, they had provision of every necessity of life.
Initially 12 months home-schooling, then they get enrolled in the area’s best school. Children are guided on a unique Tarbiyah model as well.
Our OOSC & Underprivileged Children Programs
The number of out-of-school children in Pakistan has crossed 23 million, despite claims of government of reforms in the education sector. Most OOSC are poor, being the only bread earners of their families. Non-governmental organizations have started speed-learning programs in Pakistan, but lack of resources has helped only a few thousand children.
- CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTERS (CDC) PROJECT – BURMA ISB (2016)
Junior Jinnah Trust (JJT) established its first project for OOSC in 2016, aiming to enroll provide “Quality Inclusive education” to Out-of-School-Children (OOSC) of the sub-urban area of Burma Town, Islamabad.
CDC is an informal & fast learning schooling programs in morning & evening shifts, where children have provision to all the School needs (Textbooks, Notebooks, Health & Nutrition, Uniform kits, Computer Lab, Tarbiyah & Ethics Programs) free of cost. Under this program a child once enrolled in KG-I class, graduates from 5th class in total four-year time-period.
Currently, 300 plus children are studying under this project and 63 children are graduated from FDE in 2018 and 2019 with 100% passing results (76% A grade) of class 5th and now students are learning in middle level under this project.
- MONTESSORI & PRIMARY SCHOOLS PROJECT – BURMA ISB (2017)
JJT inaugurated its second project in 2017 for most deserving, underprivileged & orphan children of Burma Town Islamabad, as after the survey and looking into the community needs at large. This project is running in morning and evening shifts, as to support more children with their needs of quality education.
Since then we have enrolled 150 plus children under this project. Children have to pay a nominal fee of PKR 100-200, and they have provision of all educational needs (Textbooks, Notebooks, Uniform Kits, Health & Nutrition, Montessori Learning Equipment’s, Computer Lab, Tarbiyah & Ethics Programs) in School free of cost.
- MONTESSORI & PRIMARY SCHOOLS PROJECT – DHERI RWP (2018)
JJT enhanced its scope and initiated its third project in Sep-2018 for the most deserving, underprivileged & orphan children of Dheri Hasan Abad Rawalpindi. This project was given to JJT by Vision Foundation as looking towards our successful model of quality inclusive education. This campus is called Mobily campus as it is being sponsored by the people working @Mobily KSA.
We have initiated the enrollment campaigns, and made many developments. Currently, 110 children are enrolled into morning shift.
